About Us

In August 1997, the Columbia Church of Christ was planted by a group of 30 disciples from different cities in the Midwest. Their hearts were set on seeing a church composed of committed servants of God, bringing glory to his name in Columbia, Missouri.

Today we are still being faithful to our Lord in seeking and saving the lost and helping each other as we strive to walk as Jesus did. We are a church that is devoted to the Word of God, to the body of Christ, to Jesus’s mission and to prayer.

We believe that there is only one true God, Creator of everything, and that he gave His son, Jesus Christ, as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. For those that have heard the good news of Jesus and choose to believe it, should be inspired to commit their lives to Jesus and make him Lord, repenting and being baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit.
